Based out of Harlem, April Kae of the music group IMANIGOLD is one such visionary. Her voice is both fierce and loving. A mix of playful creativity and woman-on-a-mission, April is a visual and musical hodgepodge with a flair and dedicated style all her own.
Growing up, she was surrounded by music. Her parent met in a Motown band. She began searching for herself on the piano, dabbled in bass and experimented with everything from indie rock to jazz - building her own identity from the pieces she loved most.
April's strong sense of self, vibrant personality and tenacious attitude stand her apart from the crowd. With every note, song and style choice, she shows everyone how loving yourself for who you are is not only important, but it's possible and something to fight for.
